• Dr Aaron Jaffer is treating us on a very personal tour of Tudors and Stuarts gallery at the National Maritime Museum

• Dr Aaron Jaffer received his doctorate in History from the University of Warwick. His first book, Lascars and Indian Ocean Seafaring, 1780-1860: Shipboard Life, Unrest and Mutiny, was published in 2015. He has worked on exhibitions at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Chatsworth House and the River & Rowing Museum. He is currently part of the National Maritime Museum’s Endeavour team, which has created four major new galleries which have recently opened at Greenwich.

 

Venue:  

11.30 am we meet on 'Australia' on the Great Map on the Mezzanine floor. The tour will take about an hour and we shall hope to move on to a local hostelry for a pie and a pint.

There is no cost for this event but a donation of £10 to NMM would be most welcome and in any event we shall be making a donation
